HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – The holiday season in Hinton is filled with festive cheer and a variety of events for all ages. From movie nights to holiday crafts, there’s something for everyone.

November

Nov. 28:

It’s a Wonderful Life: A free movie screening at the Ritz Theater at 7 PM.

Holiday Magic at Pipestem State Park: A magical evening from 6-8 PM.

Nov. 30:

Small Business Saturday: Support local businesses throughout Summers County.

Nutcracker Ballet Dance Mini-Camp: A chance to learn ballet, pre-registration required.

Christmas Ornament Workshop: Create beautiful ornaments, pre-registration required.

December

Dec. 5:

Polar Express: A free movie screening at the Ritz Theater at 7 PM.

Christmas Ornament Workshop: Another opportunity to craft ornaments, pre-registration required.

Hinton’s Historic Christmas Village Craft Night: A festive craft night at Otter and Oak, pre-registration required.

Dec. 6:

Milk & Cookies with Santa: A chance to meet Santa at REACHH at 5 PM.

Mommy & Me Cookie Decorating Event: A fun activity for kids and their parents at SCARH from 6-8 PM.

Dec. 7:

Winter Wonderland Breakfast Fundraiser: A delicious breakfast at the SC Council on Aging from 8-11:30 AM.

Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Festival: A day filled with fun, including a parade at 6 PM, carriage rides, Santa photos, and more.

The Grinch: A free movie screening at the Ritz Theater at 7 PM.

Dec. 13:

Summers County Performing Arts Christmas Spectacular: A holiday performance at the SCCHS Auditorium at 7 PM.

Graham House Christmas Dinner: A festive dinner from 6-8 PM.

Dec. 14:

Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Cookie Express & Art Walk: A fun event with a cookie express and art walk, ticket required for the cookie express.

Breakfast with Santa at Pipestem State Park: A morning with Santa from 10 AM to noon.

Christmas Luminary Walk: A magical evening walk through downtown Hinton at 6 PM.

Graham House Christmas Dinner: Another festive dinner from 6-8 PM.

Dec. 19:

Mrs. Claus Market: A kids’ shopping event at The McCreery Conference & Event Center from 5-7 PM.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: A free movie screening at the Ritz Theater at 7 PM.

Dec. 25: Merry Christmas!

Dec. 26:

A Christmas Story: A free movie screening at the Ritz Theater at 7 PM.
