A Summers County man was arrested on February 20, 2021. Wesley Scott Taylor, 28, of Meadow Bridge, was charged with domestic assault and battery.
According to the criminal complaint, police officers received a notification from Summers 911 of a domestic altercation between a mother and son in Meadow Bridge. The complaint stated that 911 advised that Taylor, who was identified as the suspect, had stated that the victim was dead.
The criminal complaint goes states that upon arrival at the scene, officers were advised that Taylor had fled, but he was quickly located at a residence nearby where he was detained. Officers then spoke to the victim whom they found alive at the scene.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim stated that she had called the police the day before, February 19, because Taylor had thrown a cellular phone at her. She further stated that she had received an injury that required her to call EMS.
The criminal complaint goes on to say that the victim stated that Taylor had been cursing and throwing things and that he verbally stated earlier that day that he would have her beaten by one of his friends and that she would end up dead. She further advised officers that she wanted to press charges.
Wesley Scott Taylor is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail on a $1,800 cash-bond or surety.
