HINTON- A Hinton woman was arrested on a domestic battery charge after her husband told a deputy she had struck him three times, according to a criminal complaint filed in Summers County Magistrate Court.

The complaint states that a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Fourth Avenue at about 3:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, after Angela Womacks called for police assistance five times between the evening of Oct. 25 and early Monday. Womacks reportedly told the deputy that her husband, Gage Womacks, had become aggressive and left the residence when the deputy arrived.

The deputy later located Gage Womacks and returned with him to the home to speak with both parties, according to the complaint.

He told the deputy that his wife had struck him in the head with her hand on three occasions the previous evening. The complaint says Angel Womacks also admitted striking him during the interview.

She was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.

The allegations are contained in a criminal complaint and have not been proven in court.
