SUMMERS COUNTY- Payton Bennett of Summers County will be able to hunt and fish in West Virginia for years to come after winning a lifetime license through Ultimate Experience Outdoors.
Bennett was selected in a drawing among young people who attended a West Virginia hunter safety course at Pipestem State Park. Ultimate Experience Outdoors provided the prize, and team members Tom Conway and Johnny Ratliff presented Bennett with the paperwork and check to cover the license.
Bennett said she had hoped to earn her hunting license when she got older. Her stepfather encouraged her to attend the safety class and offered to go with her.
She also said she hopes to fish and hunt even more now as time goes by.
“Yes!” she exclaimed.
“Every chance I get.”
The license also means more than outdoor access to Bennett.
“It’s very important to me because now I get to have a lifetime of memories,” she said.
“One of my favorite things to do is hunt with both of my dad’s.”
Asked if she wanted to shoutout Ultimate Experience Outdoors, Bennett added, “Thank you so much for the opportunity to make memories with my family for the rest of my life.”
