HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Just when the bleak midwinter blues start to pull you down, the community is invited to a free chili dinner to warm your bones and your attitude. It will be held on Friday, Jan. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at Ascension Episcopal Church. Ascension is located at the corner of Temple and 5th Ave, across from the old Middle School. Come around to the basement door.

Church officials said, “We would like to get to know you better. Come and bring your friends. We’ll be serving chili and cornbread, baked potatoes, drinks and dessert. And coming up next month will be our Fat Tuesday pancake dinner to kick off the season of Lent. More on that later.”
