HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – In 2023, the Hinton Area Foundation awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to 47 students. Offering more than 40 different scholarships, students can apply based on their area of study, college, university or vocational/technical institution, both or neither.

HAF’s Executive Assistant, Jordonne Bostic, says, “Scholarship Season is probably my favorite. This is the time in life when many young people are finding out who they are and what they want to do in life. To be able to lift some of the financial burden so they can focus on themselves is a feeling I wish everyone in life could experience.”

Applications are open from Jan. 1, 2024 – March 15, 2024, and can be found at hintonareafoundation.org/scholarships. An electronic and hard copy of the application must be submitted by March 15th. Printed copy may be mailed to: Hinton Area Foundation Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 217, Hinton, WV 25951. Electronic copies may be emailed to Scholarships@HintonAreaFoundation.org.

Specific instructions can be found on the scholarship application. Questions may be directed to Scholarships@HintonAreaFoundation.org. The deadline for receipt of applications and additional requirements is March 15, 2024.

All students are encouraged to apply.
