ATHENS, W.Va. (Hinton News) – Concord University is announcing plans for the 148th Spring Commencement. Candidates for graduation will be honored during three ceremonies on two days. Master’s degree candidates will be honored on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 6 p.m. Candidates for undergraduate degrees will be recognized on Saturday, May 6, 2023, during ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. All ceremonies will be held in the Main Gym of the Leslie R. and Ruby Webb Carter Center.
The spring 2023 class valedictorian is Shannon M. Jarrell of Beckley, West Virginia. She will receive a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.
Please note that tickets are required for admission. All available tickets were distributed to students through the President’s Office. All ceremonies are being livestreamed.
