ALDERSON, (Hinton News) – The Miss Fireworks Scholarship Pageant will be held on April 22, 2023. This is a chance for a local girl (open to Greenbrier, Summers, and Monroe Counties) to earn a $500 scholarship if she is crowned Miss Fireworks to reign over the Alderson 4th of July Celebration. The Miss Fireworks Pageant is for girls ages 16-21 but there are other categories from 0 to 15 years old. There is more information on our info sheet (fees, specifics, etc.). Applications can be printed online and mailed in with an entry fee OR we can now take online entries where you can pay with the click of a button. This is a new era for the Miss Fireworks pageants and we are so excited to bring it back better than ever. There have been a few former queens from the Summers County area: Karsyn Keaton, Sydney Jordan, and Kirsten Trainum to name the most recent. For more information, visit www.alderson4th.com/pageant-applications.
