WV Community Development Hub recognizes Hinton. More than 120 community members gathered in Hinton, WV, for the Accelerate team’s Good News Event, a celebration designed to bring residents together and showcase the incredible work happening throughout the community. The folks in attendance learned about projects and initiatives led by local organizations, discovered efforts they may not have previously known about, asked questions, and explored ways to volunteer and get involved.

As one of the community’s largest gatherings, the event sparked new connections, highlighted volunteer opportunities, and generated excitement about Hinton’s future. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to building an even stronger community together.

Inspired by the event’s success, the Hinton Accelerate Team plans to continue creating opportunities for community engagement by hosting both an annual Good News Event and a volunteer recruitment event. “We’re excited to see Hinton creating meaningful opportunities for residents to connect, contribute, and help shape the future of their community.” West Virginia Community Development Hub shared.
