Second Saturdays in Hinton held its final outdoor concert of the season on Saturday, September 11. The event featured multiple bands with The Kind Thieves headlining. Food was available from Mom and Pops and Sugar Attack Cookie Company. One area was dedicated to a car show.
The concert kicked off at 5:30 p.m. with Whyte Noise while the car show began at 5 p.m. Local shops such as BOHO and Otter & Oak were open and available for shopping fun prior to the concert.
Originally, the concert was set to be held on the Courthouse Lawn beside the Memorial Building. However, due to renovations in that area, it was moved to the park across from The Market on Courthouse Square.
Music filled Hinton’s streets all evening, pausing only during the parade of lights honoring the silence of the event.
Kristi Scott, who is on the Second Saturdays Committee posted a thank you on social media to all of the sponsors involved in Second Saturdays in Hinton. The statement ended by saying, “We hope you enjoyed Second Saturdays this year and we are looking forward to 2022!”
Second Saturdays held multiple events throughout the summer beginning with the annual Color the River float. This was followed by several concerts.
