HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) – The next Friends of the Library’s Craft Lab will be held on May 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library. This month, students will learn the craft of quilling, which involves shaping paper into delicate pleats or folds to create images or patterns.
They will use quilling techniques to create small greeting cards featuring bouquets or simple animals on the front cover. Create a piece of art that you can mail to a friend. The cost is $20 total, of which $10 is for supplies and $10 supports the library programs. Bring a friend and enjoy an evening of chatter and creation. You must register no later than May 22 to ensure we have enough supplies for each person. (If you were at the April session, you are already registered for this one.)
In a world heavily dominated by screens, join a small group focused on the arts. This activity will help you to express creativity, reduce stress, achieve a sense of accomplishment, and connect with others in a meaningful way. Even if you are not particularly “crafty,” it is just simple fun.
To register, contact Cheryl Kula – 304-445-6748 or cheryl.kula@gmail.com.
