ASBURY, W.Va. (Hinton News) — Rosemary’s Pumpkins & Pines is excited to announce the opening of its 2025 season on Saturday, October 4, at 10 a.m. Located at 11298 Alta Drive, this year’s pumpkin patch is all about community, with a focus on giving back throughout the month of October.

The farm is dedicated to the belief that agriculture can grow more than crops—it can grow community, kindness, and hope. This season, Rosemary’s will highlight a different local cause each of the first three weekends, turning every pumpkin into an opportunity to support kids, families, and even four-legged friends.

The season kicks off with a dual-purpose event on Saturday, October 4th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All pumpkin sales will be by donation only, with proceeds going directly to the Alderson Elementary School Archery Team. Attendees can meet the team, learn about their work, and support local youth sports.

Also on Saturday and continuing on Sunday, October 5, the Greenbrier Humane Society will be on-site with adoptable pets. Visitors can meet their potential new family members and donate supplies like dog and cat food, treats, and cat litter to support the shelter’s crucial work.

On Sunday, October 5, the fun continues from 1-5 PM, with a highlight being the Great Pup-kin Costume Contest at 1 p.m.. Dogs dressed as pumpkins will strut their stuff for a chance to win a prize, with judging by Janice and Ryan from Grooming by Janice and Ryan.

On Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Rosemary’s Pumpkins & Pines will host a special day to support Joey Thompson and his family during his cancer treatment. All pumpkin sales will be by donation, with proceeds going directly to the family. It’s a chance for the community to come together and offer support.

Rosemary’s Pumpkins & Pines will be open every weekend in October, or until they run out of pumpkins. This season promises to be a month of family fun and community support, proving that every pumpkin truly has a purpose.
