HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – “Something wild and wonderful is growing in the library,” according to Kris Kellan, Director of the Summers County Public Library. The library is getting a vibrant new addition to its children’s playroom; artist Carol Jackson has been commissioned to paint a new mural in the space. The work is well underway, and visiting kids can already see many of the animals and trees bringing the playroom more fun and excitement.

One of the children at the library, Tessa, said, “The kids’ room is so cool!”

Following the “Wild and Wonderful” motif, the library’s summer reading program is underway with a West Virginia theme. Children can stop in during library hours with a parent or guardian to sign up. There are fascinating books and fun prizes waiting.

The library’s calendar of events is available on its website, and Kellan encourages patrons to keep an eye out for all of the summer events.
