PIPESTEM, W.Va. (Hinton News) – Pipestem Resort State Park is set to welcome the International Bowhunting Organization (IBO) Triple Crown, with the first leg of the prestigious archery competition taking place May 15-18, 2025. This highly anticipated event is expected to draw more than 1,000 archers from across the United States and around the world.

Participants can pre-register online through the IBO 2025 website or register in person when picking up their scorecards at the IBO trailer. The event officially kicks off on Thursday, May 15, at 8 a.m., with both amateur and professional archers competing in multiple divisions. Division prizes will be awarded on Sunday evening before the event wraps up and equipment is packed up for the second leg of the Triple Crown.

Spectators are encouraged to attend and experience the action up close, free of charge. Vendors will be on-site throughout the event, offering a variety of archery-related products and outdoor gear.

“This event highlights West Virginia State Parks’ ability to accommodate major sporting competitions while offering a spectacular natural setting for both participants and spectators,” said Dillard Price, Acting Chief of WV State Parks. “We look forward to welcoming archers and guests from around the world to Pipestem.”

The IBO Triple Crown is one of the most prestigious tournaments in competitive archery, serving as a qualifier for the 2025 World IBO Championship. Pipestem’s hosting of this event underscores West Virginia’s reputation as a premier destination for outdoor recreation and competitive sporting events.

West Virginia State Parks will once again welcome top archers later this year as Cacapon Resort State Park hosts the 2025 World IBO Championship in August, bringing even more international competitors and spectators to the Mountain State.

For more information on registration and event details, visit the IBO 2025 website.
