SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Summers County Christmas Toy Fund would like to share this year’s dates for anyone wishing to volunteer. Shopping will take place on December 9th at Beckley Wal-Mart on Eisenhower Dr. Gifts will be bagged on Dec. 12, and be given out on Dec. 14 at the First Presbyterian Church. All approved applicants will be notified by mail and given information regarding the gift giveaway.

If your family lives in Summers County and is in need of assistance for Christmas, you may pick up an application at the Summers County DHHR office at 322 Summers St. Hinton, WV. Applications are available to submit until November 30, 2024. The program can assist Summers County residents with children from newborn to 12 years old. 

If you would like to adopt a child please contact Darrell Lilly at 304-466-0476 or Stacy Ford at 304-575-7026. If you are unable to adopt a child but would like to donate, please send payment to PO Box 217 Hinton, WV 25951, or drop off at 104 James St. Please make checks payable to Hinton Area Foundation with Christmas Toy Fund in the memo.
