HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Hospice of Southern West Virginia is proud to begin offering its grief support services, Hope & Healing – Coping with Life after Loss, to Summers County. The first meeting will be on April 2 at 4 p.m. at the Summers County Public Library at 120 Second Avenue, Hinton.
According to Janett Greene, CEO, Hope & Healing is led by HSWV’s Bereavement Specialists, and provides an outlet for support among others who are grieving.
“We believe it is important to bring this service closer to those in Hinton and the surrounding area. We understand that those coping with the loss of a loved one find solace in the company of others experiencing tremendous loss,” says Greene. “It is important to normalize discussion around loss.”
The sessions, led by HSWV Bereavement Specialists, focus on coping skills to help manage feelings of grief, loneliness, and anxiety.
All sessions are free and open to the public. RSVP by calling 304-255-6404.
