HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Summers County Memorial Building Auditorium was full of activity on the evening of Aug. 5. Three Rivers Youth Theater presented “ALICE” to a packed audience.
Under the direction of Lisa Columbo and Cheryl Kula, the youths entertained the audience with their poise and charm. As professional as any group of adult actors, these kids owned the stage from beginning to end.
The sets and costumes were full of colors and details that drew the audience’s eyes and senses to keep onlookers immersed in Wonderland. Making use of every available surface as part of the stage was a brilliant way to make the audience feel like they were part of Alice’s world.
It was a unique and fun experience. The smiles seen all over the building and the laughter heard stood as proof the night was a success. Organizers announced that Little Red Riding Hood is the group’s next undertaking, and it will be a musical. Make plans now to attend whenever it’s available.
