GREENBRIER COUNTY (Hinton News) – According to the Greenbrier County Health Department, two raccoons have recently tested positive for the rabies virus. The announcements state that one animal was in the 24831 zip code area, and the other was in the 24901 zip code area.
Additionally, the Greenbrier County Health Department stated that a neighboring county had a positive case but did not elaborate on which county.
Citizens are encouraged to get their pets and eligible livestock vaccinated.
