After talking with the victim, the officer spoke with several neighbors. One person reportedly stated that Vines had been arguing with them and that she was limping at the time. Another person at the same residence said they went to check on Vines and found her gone, the back door open, and blood on the floor, the criminal complaint states. A different neighbor allegedly noted that they had seen Vines carrying a boot, and one foot appeared wrapped. The same person also reportedly saw Vines walking around the stolen vehicle and shortly after saw the same truck leaving.
