The Technology Center in Hinton is now home to a new business, Go Duck Media, a multi-media marketing company. This company was founded in Southern West Virginia by Kirsten Hylton and Brianna Duckworth.
According to an announcement from the City of Hinton, when the Technology Center was dedicated in 2006, it held the purpose of “connecting Hinton and other small rural communities to the rest of the world.” Now, that purpose is being revitalized. The announcement states that there is a new initiative to, “bring workers, both local and beyond, into the City” by providing the Technology Center as a place from which they are able to work.
Mayor Jack Scott is quoted in the City’s announcement as saying, “We are extremely excited to have Kirsten Hylton and Brianna Duckworth, owners of Go Duck Media, at the Tech Center.” He goes on to say, “Their experience and enthusiasm related to digital advertising platforms, public relations expertise and their love of West Virginia combine to create a good fit for us.”
Go Duck Media provides a wide range of services including content management, branding, content creation, graphic design and more. Duckworth and Hylton have experience in social media management, photography, videography and online analytics. They offer free consultations as part of their three steps “to take your business to the next level.”
