Hinton — The Hinton Amtrak Station is undergoing exterior improvements. This includes the sidewalks as well as the stairway on Second Avenue.
The water park in Hinton has officially opened for the season.

Ronceverte — The Ronceverte municipal election will take place on June 1. Voting is available between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.

White Sulphur Springs — The WSS City Pool officially opened over Memorial Day weekend and an Adult Swim will take place from 10 – 11 a.m. on June 1.

The Wellness Center opened on June 1. The center will be open daily from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Alderson — Greenbrier County Schools has secured funding for an “adaptive reuse and renovation” project for Alderson Elementary School. Architect interviews are currently underway for the project.

Peterstown — Early voting for the Peterstown municipal election concludes on June 2. The only other opportunity to vote will be in person on election day, June 8 at the Town Hall.

Renick — The Renick Community Center is holding a “huge” community yard sale on June 5 beginning at 8 a.m.

Lewisburg — Early voting for the Lewisburg municipal election concludes on June 4. In-person voting will be available on June 5 as well as election day, June 8.

Union — The live drawing for the Farmer’s Day raffle will be held on June 5, Farmer’s Day. The 2021 event marks the 66th annual Farmer’s Day celebration.
