A structure fire occurred on Temple Street in Hinton on Thursday, April 22. According to Summers County Dispatch, the call came in at 12:41 p.m. and as of 2:35 p.m. crews were still on scene. Hinton Fire Department, Hinton Police Department and Summers County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the call.
According to a statement issued by Summers County Sheriff J.L. Faris, Chief Deputy Adkins, upon arriving at the scene jumped in to aid responding firefighters. He did this by manning a hose to spray the rear of the structure so that the fire would not spread to the wood-line which is quite close to the residence. The Sheriff further stated that all occupants of the residence were able to evacuate safely and without injury.
Summers Dispatch stated that Hinton Police Department is providing traffic control at the scene.
