Summers County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the deceased involved in a single-car accident on the Willowwood Bridge last night.
Sheriff Justin Faris said the fatality involved Claude Hogle, 79, of Hilldale.
The motor vehicle accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. last night and an investigation is still underway. Photographs of the scene were taken earlier today at the scene.
The one car involved was a Ford SUV, and Sheriff Faris said they will need to pull the black box from the vehicle to try to piece together why Hogle hit the concrete barrier on the side of the bridge. It took nearly 2 hours to clear the accident and investigate.
