Bids have been let and awarded for road improvements and repairs to East Woodrumtown and Willowwood roads. Both roads are just beyond the Hinton City limits.
Steven Cole, District Manager with the Division of Highways and Jim Moore, Maintenance Engineer with the Division of Highways, agree that these repairs are long overdue.
The contracts have been awarded to Rock Forge Bridge Company from Amma, West Virginia for $1.1 million for East Woodrumtown Road, and R K Construction from Frametown, West Virginia for $812 thousand. Cole said pre-construction meetings will be held as soon as possible and there are hopes the projects can begin within 2 weeks.
