A Summers County man was arrested on Saturday, February 20 after an alleged domestic altercation involving his mother. Wesley Scott Taylor, 29, of Meadow Bridge, has been charged with domestic assault and domestic battery.
On the date in question, the Summers County 911 Center received a call from Wesley Scott Taylor advising authorities that his mother was dead. When officers responded to the Meadow Bridge residence, they found Taylor’s mother was alive, and Taylor, himself, had fled the scene.
According to the criminal complaint, Taylor’s mother advised officers that, on the previous day, she had contacted the police after Taylor had allegedly thrown a cellular phone at her, resulting in an injury which required medical attention.
The complaint states that Taylor’s mother further advised officers that, on this date, February 20, Taylor “woke up and started cussing her and throwing items in the house.”
Taylor’s mother further alleged that Taylor told her that she would be assaulted by “a friend of his”, and that she “would end up dead”.
Taylor was located at a nearby residence and placed under arrest.
Wesley Scott Taylor is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on an $1,800 cash-bond or surety.
