The Hinton News has received reports from citizens in the Talcott area that multiple roads are currently covered by water. The Summers County 911 Center confirms that Whanger Road is closed. According to citizens who live on the road it is completely covered by water. Citizens also report that Bill Perdue Road is severely flooded and closed, but Summers 911 could not confirm. Reports also state that part of the Lowell Back Road has standing water, but it is unclear how deep the water is. Use caution in this area, the National Weather Service as well as the Red Cross and other safety organizations advise to never drive through water-covered roads.
There has also been an unconfirmed report that there is water in the road in multiple areas on Doc Fox Road in Forest Hill.
