Roads Reopening in Summers County

Summers County Department of Highways reports all main roads are open in the county, and water has receded along JW Whanger and Lower Willowwood roads. The only water remaining is on Lowell Back Road, County Route 15/1, but that is almost clear. Gordy Hardy with SCDOH said there is no real damage, no accidents reported, all good this morning. Hardy’s office is still a hustle bustle of activity this morning, but this kind of flooding and need for traffic flagmen happens. Everything, he says, is clear this morning.
