HINTON, W.Va. — A couple of Summers County volleyball veterans and a super sophomore have won Class A all-state honors.
Senior outside hitter Gavin Pivont and senior setter Taylor Isaac were both named to the all-state second team by the West Virginia Sports Writer Association, while sophomore libero Liv Meador was an honorable mention pick.
The Bobcats won both sectional and regional titles and advanced to the state final four with a quarterfinal win in Charleston over Greenbrier West.
Summers County took a set from Wirt County in the semifinals before losing in four.
Wirt County senior Emma Wyer was chosen as the captain of the all-state first team. Wirt won their 13th state crown with a championship victory over East Hardy.
