SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) – On October 20, the Summers County High School Volleyball Team played both JV and Varsity matches against Meadow Bridge, winning both matches by 2-1 and 3-0 scores, respectively.

Between matches, the team honored its three graduating seniors with flowers, balloons, and gift baskets. Attending were the Summers County Youth League Varsity cheerleaders, who put on a display of their talent at various times during the match.

Coach Bethani “Scrappy” Cline-Wylie praised the seniors and the rest of the team, stating, “The improvement these girls have made in the last two years is undeniable. They have put in immense work both in season and off-season to get where they are now. To see where they have come has been amazing to witness.

“The season would not have been possible without their hard work and without the help of some parents and outside support staff. We are hoping for more success in the future and will continue to put in the work to get to where we want to be!

“We will miss our seniors and wish the best for them in their future endeavors! Thank you to everyone who made this season unforgettable, and we can’t wait to start preparing for next year.
