HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – For many, many years, the churches of Hinton have joined together on Palm Sunday for walking and worshipping. Palm Sunday will be celebrated this year on Sunday, April 13 and the parade starts at 10 a.m.

People will meet outside at the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Third and Ballengee Streets in Hinton. From there participants shall walk through downtown Hinton, waving Palms and singing songs to remember Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem. Then they will gather at the city park at the corner of Temple and Third Avenue for a short address. The celebration will end before 11 a.m. for everyone to get to their own churches.

Organizers hope you will be able to join them as they celebrate and remember.
