HINTON, W.Va. – The Summers County 911 Center handled a significant call volume in 2024, answering 31,252 calls for service, according to Director Loyd Lowry.
This equates to an average of over 85 calls per day. Lowry emphasized that the average wait time for callers to connect with a 911 operator was just six seconds, measured from the moment the last “1” is dialed.
“I am very proud of the staff here at our 911 Center,” Lowry said. “We are here when you need us.”
