HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – January marks the beginning of a new calendar, and, for many, a pivotal moment of change in their personal lives. Maybe you want to drop an unhealthy habit or pick up a new hobby. Maybe you are pondering a single word to guide your life this year such as pause or breathe. Maybe you are set in your curmudgeon ways and refuse to participate in this ritual. After all, over 80% of resolutions are abandoned by February. That statistic sounds discouraging, but luckily, I have the solution to all your resolutions – whatever they may be—the library.

With a plethora of books, an Adult Education center, magazines, free internet access, office services like scanning, printing, copying, and faxing, and monthly activities for all ages, the library is your one-stop-shop. Sticking with the curmudgeon plan? We have comfy seats where you can relax, read, catnap, and irritably shush other patrons. And, other than a few reasonably priced services, libraries charge the average patron $0. That is way cheaper than a gym membership or daily fancy coffee!

So, come check out the library and renew yourself for 2025.
