MONROE COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) — The Monroe County Clerk’s Office proudly announced the donation of a historic book, titled “Process Book,” which dates back to the early 1800s. The book, a comprehensive list of papers served from that era, was generously donated by the family of Mable Broyles Ballard.
Due to current limitations, only a few pages of the book have been scanned and are available for review on the Monroe Coiunty CLerk’s Office’s Facebook page, but the public is invited to visit the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours to view and research the book in person.
The staff of the Monroe County Clerk’s Office, along with the citizens of the county, extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Ballard’s family for this valuable contribution. It is noteworthy that Mable Broyles Ballard was the first female County Clerk in the county’s history.
