ALDERSON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Bring a lawn chair or blanket this Wednesday evening, Aug. 28, to Alderson, for a free pop-up concert with Appalachian vocal duo Little Maggie and bagpiper Patrick McBride

Mary Dailey and Cheryl Mansley, aka Little Maggie, will treat you to a few folksongs from “across the pond,” and McBride, who is on his way from Florida to Plains, Virginia, where he will compete in the bagpipe contest at the 50th Virginia Scottish Games, will play the bagpipes and happily answer any questions you may have about them.

Gather this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Alderson’s Alumni Park and Gazebo, which is alongside the Greenbrier River between the Amtrak station and the Pedestrian Bridge, for what may very well be Alderson’s first-ever pop-up event – but not its last if Mansley and Dailey have anything to say about it!
