Book Donations Requested for the Library Book Sale

HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – It’s the favorite time of year for the Friends of the Summers County Public Library.  They are currently preparing for the next Library Book Sale which will coincide with Railroad Days (October 11 to 13). In preparation for the sale, they are asking for book donations. You may drop off books at 318 Temple Street (the Masonic building across from the bank) on the following Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.: September 14, September 21, September 28, and October 5. 

They are happy to accept fiction and non-fiction, paperbacks and hardbacks, and all children’s books in gently used condition.

As you gather books to donate, please be aware that they cannot accept the following (they just don’t sell):

No Moldy Oldies

No Magazines

No textbooks

No blue books

No reference books or encyclopedias

No cassette or VHS (we will take DVDs)

The library book sale will be selling books on the following days:

Thursday, October 10 from 12 to 6 p.m.

Friday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prices at the sale will be: Hardbacks for $2, Paperbacks for $1, Children’s books for 50 cents, and Harlequin Romance 10 for $1.
