BECKLEY W.Va. (Hinton News) – One man has been arrested following an armed robbery at Captain D’s in Beckley. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:
“On Saturday, August 10, 2024, at approximately 8:45 am, Trooper J. K. Farmer and S/Tpr J.S. Vanmeter responded to Captain Ds at 800 S. Eisenhower Drive, in Beckley reference to an armed robbery.
“Troopers arrived on scene and spoke with a Captains Ds employee who identified the perpetrator as 27 year old Brandon Jefferson. Troopers also learned Brandon Jefferson was a former Captain D’s employee. Trooper were advised that Brandon Jefferson held the employee at gunpoint and demanded the deposit money, which he provided. Brandon Jefferson then fled the scene with $1152.47 in U.S. currency. Brandon Jefferson was located near the scene. Troopers were able to successfully recover the money and handgun used during the commission of the crime. The suspect, Brandon Jefferson , was arrested and charged with first degree armed robbery, Felon in possession of a firearm and use of firearm in the commission of a felony. This investigation is complete awaiting the court process.”
