The legend of Mothman was alive at the Summers County Public Library

HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Summers County Public Library was recently taken over by West Virginia’s infamous winged monster  Mothman. Library employee Weston Hartwell planned a fun-filled evening for the event goers with all activities revolving around West Virginia’s winged menace of cryptic fame.

There were small 3D-printed Mothman figures, bracelets and stickers for attendees. The library was decorated with books about Mothman and a documentary about the menacing creature was being shown upstairs. Hartwell led a round of Mothman trivia with amazing prizes being given out for first, second and third place, plus a door prize was given out. Botany Tropicals was on site with amazing Mothman merchandise and also provided a couple of prizes.

The entire library staff was in incredible Mothman shirts. One of those fantastic shirts was also one of the night’s prizes.

Felisha Hartwell provided pepperoni rolls and the library had smores,  punch, bottled water and cheese skewers for snacks.

There was a lot of laughter, and mingling among everyone, overall lots of enjoyment.

The night was a success and the community– can’t wait to see what event is next.
