HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) — Cryptid enthusiasts and curious locals alike are gearing up for a Mothman-themed event at the Summers County Public Library, scheduled for July 5 at 7 p.m.

The library, located on Temple Street, will host an evening dedicated to the mysterious creature known as the Mothman. Attendees can look forward to a lineup of Mothman documentaries, discussions on reported sightings, and more.

Space for the event is limited, prompting organizers to encourage interested individuals to sign up early. The sign-up form is available on the library’s Facebook page.

The Mothman, a legendary figure purportedly sighted in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia in the 1960s, has sparked fascination and speculation for decades. The upcoming gathering offers an opportunity for attendees to delve into the lore surrounding this enigmatic creature and to share their own experiences or theories.

For further details about the event or to reserve a spot, interested parties can visit the Summers County Public Library’s Facebook page or contact the library directly.
