HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Campbell-Flannagan- Murrell House Museum will hold the yearly Festival of the Rivers on Saturday, August 31 from noon until 9 p.m. at the City Park on Temple Street.

Bring the whole family to hear the music, feast on the food truck offerings and check out the local vendors.

This year, CMF is excited to bring a full, new line-up of musical talent. Opening the Festival will be the Summers County High School Band performing at noon under the direction of Tim Sims.

Acoustic Fusion plays at 12:45 p.m. and favorite local, Chris Hopson will hit the stage at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m. kids (of all ages) can join in with Little Maggie who is bringing extra instruments for them to play.  Little Maggie is part of an Appalachian Vocal Duo. They will have you singing and laughing.

Then, at 4 p.m. the event will feature Hunter & Lewis who play authentic old-time mountain music with a flare of bluegrass.

Jim Snyder performs at 5 p.m. followed by Southern Draw, and the band that closes the evening will have you up and dancing to The Heavy Hitters.

So, bring your chairs, and your family and have some festival fun!
