HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Local firefighters provided a quick response today after being called to a reported camper on fire in the New River Road area. Initially, units called for an all-county response but were able to cancel some of the fire departments. This is the second major fire-related incident in the county in as many days.
The call came in shortly after 9 a.m. and cleared around 11:15 a.m. Responding agencies included Hinton Fire Department, Summers County Volunteer Fire Department, Pipestem Volunteer Fire Department and Summers County EMS. Hinton News has received reports that Park Services remained on the scene after Emergency services cleared.
