MONROE COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The West Virginia State Police are searching for an individual, now identified as Anthony Charles Meyers, 35. Meyers was last seen in the Union area of Monroe County on Oct. 11. According to the WVSP, Meyers has burglarized multiple homes in Virginia and West Virginia.
Additionally, one of the items stolen includes a stainless steel 308 rifle and Meyers is considered armed and dangerous.
According to an announcement from the WVSP, Meyers is typically dressed in camouflage clothing, a ball cap and a red backpack. He is 5′ 11″ and has brown hair and green eyes.
Reportedly, troopers confronted Meyers around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 but were unable to take him into custody. According to announcements from various law enforcement agencies, an individual matching Meyers’ description has broken into homes from Pulaski to Bland counties in Virginia.
Anyone who sees Meyers is encouraged to use extreme caution, do not approach him. Call Sgt. S.S. Keaton at 304-772-5100 to report the sighting.
