Once again, the Community Thanksgiving Meal Project, a 100% volunteer effort, will provide turkey, sides, and dessert this year on Thanksgiving Day. Dinners are free, and paid for by donations from businesses, individuals, and local churches. They are limited to providing 300 dinners this year.

To request a meal(s), simply text or call 304-660-7073 or email ascensionepiscopalhinton@gmail.com. The reservation deadline is October 30 – no requests will be honored after that date.

Flyers have been distributed throughout the county. Organizers will need your name, phone number, address, special delivery instructions, and the number of meals you will need. You may take meals to your neighbors if you like. Meals are only available for Summers County residents.

The organizers can’t do this alone, and several opportunities for volunteering are available. They will need help making up packages of rolls, cranberry sauce, and dessert on Wednesday evening and they need 300 desserts. Additionally, they need delivery drivers on Thanksgiving Day, and donations of money are always appreciated.

To volunteer, please call or text 304-860-9446 or email nancyofmadamscreek@gmail.com.
