SUMMERS COUNTY (Hinton News) – According to officials with Mon Power, there is a planned outage to upgrade facilities scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 3. The inclement weather make-up day is slated for Thursday, Aug. 10. The outage will occur between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Officials note that approximately “770 customers will be affected in the vicinity of Ballard, Forest Hill, Hinton, and Wayside, WV. NOTE: Downtown Hinton will NOT be impacted.”
All affected customers will receive the following automated call to the phone number associated with their account:
“Hello. This message is from Mon Power. On Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, there will be a planned power outage to upgrade facilities. The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of Ballard, Forest Hill, Hinton, and Wayside, West Virginia. If you are receiving this message, you will experience a service interruption from approximately 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the planned outage will be rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023. If you have any questions, please call: 800-686-0022. Mon Power thanks you for your patience and understanding while we perform this work to improve your electric service reliability.”
