LEWISBURG (Hinton News) – After 5 years as President of the Carnegie Hall Guild, Mary Leb has decided to turn over the gavel. Liz Wickline will be assuming the presidency this next fiscal year and is excited to be part of the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead. Liz hopes to continue the dynamic leadership of Mary Leb.

Mary Leb became President of the Carnegie Hall Guild in 2018. She emphasized membership, coordinated fundraisers, and worked hard to accomplish the Carnegie Hall Guild’s mission of promoting, volunteering, and supporting Carnegie Hall. All thru the challenges of covid Mary was able to maintain membership and keep communication active between members. During her tenure, the Carnegie Hall Guild raised funds for the recorders and the symphony for the annual Link-up Symphony program, new hammers for the Steinway, electrical upgrades for the Ivy Terrace, a portable PA system, wireless microphones for the Hamilton auditorium and upgraded chairs for meeting, receptions, and the Second Stage Series. She will be missed. Fortunately, Mary Leb has assumed the responsibility as Performance Director for Carnegie Hall and plans to remain active in the Carnegie Hall Guild.

Liz Wickline brings a long and active relationship with Carnegie Hall to her new responsibilities as President of the Carnegie Hall Guild. She has been a patron member of the Carnegie Hall Guild since its inception. Liz was on the Carnegie Hall Board for 15 years and just completed a 3-year term as President of the Board. She is also currently chairperson of the Carnegie Hall building committee. The Carnegie Hall Guild is fortunate to have her energy, administrative abilities, and commitment to lead the Carnegie Hall Guild into the future.
