PIPESTEM, WV, (Hinton News) –  West Virginia’s best destination for adventure is Pipestem State Park, where the Pipestem Adventure Zone offers more fun and adventure than you can experience in a single. Beginning May 27, visitors can choose from nine exciting activities to create a full-day adventure extravaganza with skeet shooting, laser tag, remote-controlled cars on paved and off-road race tracks, 3D archery, axe throwing, drone flying, miniature golf, disc golf and electric motor-assisted bikes. Adventurers can purchase access to each adventure a la carte, or they can purchase an all-day pass for a day of back-to-back excitement. New this year is the electric bike excursion – a 3-hour guided tour of the park to discover the mountain views and the unique flora and fauna of the area.

The Adventure Lake at Pipestem, opening a week earlier on May 20, provides the ideal spot for families to enjoy the water in styles from mild to wild. Both kids and adults will enjoy climbing on the giant inflatable mountains, slides and trampolines that will launch them into the air before splashing down into the water. This year, Pipestem has added new inflatable designs, such as blobs and icebergs to the fun. Friendly lifeguards are on hand to safely supervise the fun. The sandy beach provides a great spot to wind down on a lounge chair and enjoy the sun and scenery. Parents can also take their younger kids to the Splash Park and Kids’ Zone, where they can slide and run around spraying flowers, animals and fountains.

There is so much more to explore and experience at Pipestem for true adventurers and families seeking a vacation destination. The Pipestem Peaks Zipline Tours is one of the state’s top attractions, with nine ziplines up to 1,700 feet in length that allow visitors to sail on lines that cross over the Bluestone River Gorge three times at heights of 300 feet and speeds up to 50 mph. Pipestem is an adventurer’s paradise offering hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, golfing (on 9- and 18-hole courses) and rock climbing. Accommodations at Pipestem are available to fit any vacation style, including two beautiful lodges, cabin rentals, campsites and RV parks.

West Virginia State Parks like Pipestem offer an extraordinary destination and best-in-class adventures at a superb value. This is a unique opportunity to experience the highest quality at the most affordable price. Visitors can view all of the activities at www.pipestemadventures.com. From there they can go to www.wvstateparks.com or call 1-833-WV-Parks (1-833-987-2757) to simply choose their travel date, book their accommodations and begin selecting and booking the adventures that will make their vacation the most memorable.

Reservations for the Adventure Zone and Adventure Lake can be booked using these links:  wvstateparks.com/pipestem-adventure-zone/ and wvstateparks.com/park/pipestem-resort-statepark/adventure-lake-and-splash-park/. Some activities require advanced reservations and other considerations.
