HINTON, (Hinton News) – Hinton played host to American Pro Wrestling on Friday, March 31. The event featured a series of matches, with the main event seeing George South go up against Brad Thomas.
Prior to the fighting, APW wrestlers held a Meet & Greet at Kirk’s Restaurant and CAN Outdoors. The professionals signed autographs, talked to fans and spent time enjoying the town. Later, the team headed to the old middle school gym to prepare for their respective fights.
Other matches included a tag team showdown. One team consisted of Crash Cassidy and Brian Logan. The other side featured Bobby Yela and James Anthony. Additionally, Murphy Costigan fought Wayne, and the Cuban Assassin faced off with Dragon Scott Lee.
During the event, wrestlers utilized some classic moves that had the audience screaming and cheering. The arena echoed with fans’ shouts as each match progressed.
Several wrestlers set up merch tables where fans could purchase a myriad of items before the fighting began.
Event sponsors included Kirks’ Restaurant, BSA Auto, Gamma Fishing Line, Nikko Soft Baits and the Summers County School Board. The organizers emphasized a special “thank you” to Berry’s Campgroup, who they called one of their “most supportive sponsors.”
