HINTON, (Hinton News) – In the early hours of Tuesday, March 14, a structure caught fire on Temple Street in Hinton. Multiple fire departments responded and were able to extinguish the flames. No one was injured.

According to a public social media post from one of the Firefighters, Danny Meadows, the structure remained standing, and the fire did not reach the house beside the damaged one. Unfortunately, that would not last.

The following day, on Wednesday, March 15, the building once again caught fire, and this time, the one next to it did as well. Every fire department in Summers County responded with trucks and personnel to battle the blaze.

After many hours and even more gallons of water, the flames in both structures were extinguished. No official cause of the fires has been reported.

Unconfirmed reports indicated that firefighters also had to briefly return to the scene on Thursday, March 16.
