GREENBRIER COUNTY, (Hinton News) – According to a social media announcement on Feb. 26 from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, officers are requesting the public’s assistance locating an individual. Said individual is allegedly wanted on multiple felony charges, which include armed robbery and grand larceny.

The statement also says that the department has active arrest warrants on the person they identified as Hunter Ross Thompson, 25, originally from Summers County. Thompson is described as being 5 feet and 6 inches tall and 198 pounds. Additionally, he is said to have a plethora of tattoos. The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department’s statement said Thompson was last seen in the Fort Springs area on Feb. 25. Allegedly, Thompson fled into a wooded area. Officers believe he may have been picked up and taken to another location.

Thompson was previously arrested in Summers County in May 2022 following a high-speed chase.

Anyone with information on Thompson’s location is asked to contact Greenbrier County 911 at 304-647-7911. The statement encourages citizens not to approach Thompson as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

At the time of writing, Thompson has not been located. Check hintonnews.com for any recent updates.
