HINTON, (Hinton News) – An officer initiated a traffic stop in Hinton on Feb. 16 that ended with one person arrested. According to the criminal complaint, Rebecca Mae Vines, 24, of Talcott, was arrested on drug-related charges.

During the traffic stop, the criminal complaint states that the officer conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered four yellow pills determined to be Alprazolam, a schedule IV controlled substance, and a clear bag containing a crystal-like substance consistent with meth, which is a schedule II controlled substance.

The complaint further states that a “large amount” of the same crystal-like substance was found on Vines while being processed into Southern Regional Jail.

At the time of writing, Vines remains in SRJ. Her bail is set at $35,000.
