Hot Meals Are Back at Summers County Council on Aging

Thursday, Dec. 1 – Christmas tree decorating at 9:30 a.m. followed by speaker Anthony Boulden with Hinton Fire Department on the topic of fire safety at 11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 2 – Special birthday party singing by the Jumping Branch Tabernacle Trio at 10:30 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 5 – Rag wreaths at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 6 – Cinnamon ornaments at 10 a.m. followed by bible study with pastor Butch Honaker at 11 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 7 – Summers County Senior Quilters meet at 10 a.m., BINGO at 10:30 a.m., and Bluefield lights trip at 4 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 8 – Movie and popcorn at the center at 9:45 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 9 – Noodle ball at 10 a.m. followed by speaker Lesley Woodrum, Extension Agent for Summers County on the topic of Active for Life at 11 a.m. and a shopping trip to Beckley.

Monday, Dec. 12 – Canvas painting at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 13 – Gluco check by Robin Chianuba, Director od Nursing at SCARH at 9:30 a.m. followed by Christmas stocking decorating at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 14 – Christmas gnome craft at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 15 – BINGO at 10 a.m. followed by bible study with pastor Gary Trout at 11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 16 – Visit from Santa and gift exchange at 10 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 19 – Games at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 20 – BINGO at 10 a.m. and bible study with pastor Chris Campbell at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 21 – Summers County quilters meet at 10 a.m. and noodle ball at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 22 – Blood pressure clinic by Liz Goodson at 10:30 a.m. and Christmas Crafting at 11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 23 – Christmas message by pastor Ernie Moye at 10:45 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 26 – Center closed for Christmas.

Tuesday, Dec. 27 – WII games and board games at 10 a.m. and an SCCOA site meeting at 11 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 28 – Snowman crafts at 10 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 29 – BINGO at 10 a.m. followed by bible study with pastor Robbie Rodes at 11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 30 – New Year’s Eve party and dance at 10 a.m.
